Payment and Fees
Booking Deposit
Holding fee required upon application, equivalent to 2 weeks’ rent. Type: Holding deposit, applied to first rental payment. Timing: Paid upon application. Adjustment: Applied to first fortnight’s rent.
Security Deposit
A bond is required before the contract start date. Bond amount: Contracts of less than 6 months: Equivalent to 2 weeks' rent. Contracts of 6 months or more: Equivalent to 4 weeks' rent. The bond is registered with the appropriate state-based authority. The bond is refundable at the end of the stay, provided there is no damage, the room is left clean, and there is no outstanding rent.
Pay In Instalment
Recurring rental payments begin 2 weeks after the lease commencement date. Students may pay rent in advance if they choose, although no discount is offered for upfront payment.
